I have to make a hole for a new soil pipe through an outside wall of brick and breeze block. I was wondering what the is the best way of doing this. The house was built in the 70's. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Core drill 117mm diameter. Can be hired. If below ground use flexible joint both sides of wall. Pilot drill from inside for position and core from outside to minimise breakout of bricks.

As above, - or if you don't want to use specialist tools, then drill lots of 10mm holes with an sds drill and cut out by club hammer and chisel, the way we had to.
Note if it is going to be a 90 bend going first to the side (horizontally) you might need to cut the hole to suit the curve of the bend.

Core drills fast, mine went through one recently in 7 mins,if you want speed though i hear scuds are quick:smilielol5:,if you dont have access to a core drill, mark it out and stitch drill it

If the New soil pipe is connecting to an existing system or if it is a brand new system you will need building controls to sign off.
