Looking for volunteer work in Halifax, West Yorkshire

Im 28 and have started a level 2 NVQ in gas engineering, including plumbing and heating and am looking for a work placement in order to complete my portfolio. 150hrs have been recommended for me, however, I am looking to extend these hours and am looking earlier to enable me to gain some hands on experience in advance of my practical work, hopefully giving me an advantage.
