press
A forming press, commonly shortened to press, is a machine tool that changes the shape of a work-piece by the application of pressure. The operator of a forming press is known as a press-tool setter, often shortened to tool-setter.
Presses can be classified according to
their mechanism: hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic;
their function: forging presses, stamping presses, press brakes, punch press, etc.
their structure, e.g. Knuckle-joint press, screw press
their controllability: conventional vs. servo-presses

I’m moving from USA to the UK and with my tools is my Milwaukee ProPress gun. I am under the assumption that I will need to leave the 1/2” 3/4” and 1” jaws in USA and buy new 15, 22, 28 jaws in the UK unless someone here might know if the imperial jaws will press metric fittings too?
Thanks in...
Hi All
Looking to purchase a press fit tool and considering many brands. I don’t do a lot of pipe work, so don’t need a heavy duty one. Hot works are becoming a thing of the past.
Any recommendations?
Hi : I’ve no idea about plumbing so please be patient. The plethora of pipes in my hot press, which one is the cold water feed to my central heating system? I have an oil boiler in the garage. Thanks.
Hey guys not sure whether this has been answered elsewhere, I'm g3 but don't have access to the unvented section of the site. Just wondering whether pressfit is okay to use on discharge pipework, I can't find an answer for that, also someone said press fittings are treated as mechanical and...
Looking at replacing a stainless steel welded 90 metre water system in press fit. Its going to cost about £18k in Mapress but I have seen M-Press are alot cheaper on their fittings. Has anyone got any experience with M-press 89mm fittings. Just wondering if they are cheap for a reason.
Hi.
I've recently purchased a press tool which is branded geberit but it's actually a novopress aco 103.
I was wondering if anyone knew if there was an adaptor that would fit so I can get the machine in tight spaces. I know Rems do a 45° attachment but not sure if this would fit in my...
I'm thinking of taking the plunge into press fit. Just with working in lofts etc it seems a lot safer. Can anyone recommend any and if they think it's worthwhile.
Thanks

We stock a wide range of MLCP Pipe and Fittings and are constantly speaking to plumbers about MLCP and how it can reduce installation times and also reduce material costs, but we'd like to know why you use MLCP, or if you still prefer Copper or Pushfit? So what are peoples opinions on MLCP?
I have a Rems mini press, I dont use it much but and usually use xpress fittings when I do.
Screwfix have started selling Conex >B< press fittings but I am not sure if they are compatible with my machine
Anyone know?

The old Dudley type - long flush press and hold, short flush press and release.
I can't get one anywhere they all seem to be the opposite way around - stand there holding the lever and looking into space for the short flush ! (which we all do more often) and press and run off for full flush...
Hi
After a recent job needing some parts I’m thinking of using this stuff on a job that’s a I start soon. I’ve a quick look online though and not that many places seem to sell much of it.
For those who use it already, what manufacturer do you use and where do you buy it from?
Cheers
Martin
I've got to move a radiator in a garden centre that's been installed using press fit fittings, not sure what they are or exactly what pipe or fittings have been used it is but it looks about 15mm to the naked eye. Any idea if Im likely to be able to use compression fittings or speed fit on the...
