Honeywell made a natural gas leak detector for the home this is now discontinued. What other ones are available, and is it worth fitting them.

why do you need it, if you are concernd just get a g.r.e. to come once a year and do a gas test for you.
if theres a fault he wil know,

just thinking of extra safety in the house, I can however smell gas before most people proberly don't need it. When I get the boiler seviced I also get gas tightness test.

IIRC, there are about 40 injuries due to domestic gas explosions per year in the UK. On the other hand, there are more than 30,000 house fires per year.

I'd spend the money on smoke/fire alarms and fire extinguishers, etc. rather than gas (methane) detectors.
