It used to be a lot easier when we had different water i.e. one foot hieght of water = .434 pounds per square foot, now that was a lot more understandable :)

1 foot height of water is equivalent to 0.434 pounds per square inch (not square foot)
 
what are the plumbers main testing equipment?
are they:

1. water pressure gauge?
2. Dry pipe test gauge?
3. weir gauge?

Fingers, when turning water back on (ensuring fitting is dry). Use these everyday.

You'll use the others (obviously depending on how busy you are) about:

1. 1-2 times a year
2. 6-10 times a year
3. Once a year
