But not together haha...

Couple of questions..

1. There's an overflow pipe run into a boss on a soil which has come loose. Not sure if right adaptor was used. What's the correct fitting to connect an overflow pipe to a soil pipe boss? The boss is already there, I just need to connect overflow to it.

2. I've fitted isolation valves (non full-bore) when swapping/adding rads to systems where the water is traditional vented pumped heating. I know you're not recommened to because of reduced flow but so far every time the rads have got hot with no probs. Done it about 4 times. Have I just been lucky or is it actually quite unlikely to actually cause a problem?

Overfow should NEVER be connected to a soil pipe but run outside. Very wrong - don't reconnect it but plug up the boss and do another arrangement.

If it is from a WC, replace the syphon with an internal overflow type.

You have been lucky. Use a freezing machine in future!

Hi, What if unvented tank is fited on 5th floor, do overflow still have to go outside?

not necessarily if there is a tundish to give visible view of flow from prv.

Thanks,
one more question
can I tee-ed 15mm pipe from presure relive valve and tempriture relieve valve before tundish and from tundish go in to 22mm copper (verticaly) for minimum 300mm then in to dry trap and in to 4" pipe?

Yes, after tundish fit reducer and 1 1/4 hep trap in vertical position, by doing that and short of pipe and bend you will get 300mm, but only in push-fit not solvent and only internal stack.
