Hi all

I had a customer today ask for a radiator installed in a newly built utility room. I quoted him based on installing a 700x600 K1
based on my calc below. However the customer said he had used an online calculator and said this rad is too small??

I'm sure i'm right but I checked the web page he used and sure enough it was too small...... any thoughts?

my calc
room size in feet
(l)13.12 x (w)7.87 x (h)7.87 = 812.61(room volume)
times by 3 (classed as common kitchen area) and then - 10% for double glazing
Total = 2196 BTU
k1 rad pumps out 2300 btu approx

I know this is basic but it has always worked before

It's basically how I do it, cubic feet x multiplier gives you btu's.

If the cust knows better, let him get on and fit it as well.

if I tell him to do it do you think he will still pay me:icon12:

he's a bit of a know all so might go that way

any way thanks for the reply
