I've removed a shower seat whilst investigating a leak. I've noticed the screws securing the seat frame have rusted (see pic).

I'm interested in recommendations for screws that you would use in a shower area. I thought these were stainless steel screws but clearly not. Are stainless steel screws suitable in this scenario?

Normally use spax wirox washer head and normally use a bit of clear silicon on the rear of the brackets and a Small circle round the hole for the screw so once fixed water can’t track back there

As the head is exposed I'd still prefer stainless than coated in a shower room but that's up to you. A stainless pan head woodscrew should do it or even a small diameter stainless coach bolt, a flat head giving you more purchase against the steel support than a countsunk screw.
