Just need some clarification here regarding operation of the controls. (Vaillant EcoTek Combi)
Without the temperature set high on the boiler, the programmer won't turn the boiler on. However, I feel the boiler is taking the heat controls from the boiler rather than the stat.
The reason I say this is because if it's low on the boiler, I can set the stat temp and it comes on.
If the boiler is high, then I turn the stat down the boiler stays on!
Is this normal operation?
