Hi all, just wondering what the standing pressure at the gas meter should be. Academically says it should be 21mbar but when I am onsite it's varied, 24.5mbars, 25mbars. The engineer I am shadowing said that's fine. I do trust him but just want second opinion.

Many thanks in advance.

John

the standing pressure at the meter test point with no appliances operating and the appliance service valve in the off position can be up to a maximum of 30mbar.

21mb is normally working pressure (ie. with appliance running) +/- 2mb

common to be 23-29 round these parts.
depends on grid in area to area.

mines 60mb?

is someone short sighted here?.

:puke:

I would not have expected such an answere from this poster!!

OK, I also have a U gauge suitable for LPG (though I'm not LPG qualified)
I don't even use my 30mb U gauge much as I have a
digital manometer, but I am not a pedant:teeth_smile:
