i,m sure the are thousands of job worse than this one but it may get people bashing the keys i was called to re-connect a transco cap off ,lead tail leaking, walked the job two combi,s and a hob connected to a u6 meter one combi was above a bath in zone 1 no bonding, wiring cable tied to the gas pipe went outside i could put my hand around the flue it was too close to an opening window too close to a door too close facing a boundary the safety pipe discharged touching a facing wall the condense was level and unsupported the length of the bath the custard didnt bleat when i said i was capping it off i think they were relieved someone professional lol! had come to end the misery of employing an unregistered installer the thing is only a ripout and reposition will sort it but if you,ve had a worse job i,d love to hear it i,m in need of cheering up

we all have days like this :banghead: I had an installer who called me and wanted to know if i would do a rerun for him as he had installed a combi on a 22mm gas supply and then the customer went and got a range cooker and there hot water became an issue. Unfortunately the gas engineers daughter goes to the nursary that is run by this customer. The person who installed the range cooker should have picked up on this and the customer ended up getting the guy who put the combi in to do a rerun FOC

The minute i get in my van in the morning the whole day promptly becomes the worse job ever !!!!

yes i know the feeling but am trying to change it slowly but surely by refusing really crap jobs

This was my most recent worst job:) cornwall Gds.jpg
the tenant wanted the toilet removed, we advised her that it might not be a good idea, she was adamant, so we obliged. As they say in the Sun, we made our excuses and left....

I cant believe that people expect us to sort stuff out like that !!

now that is bad , my mate had a customer hit the power on a saniflo that had been blockage and ended up spraying **** over him and the customers bathroom LOL

At this property there were 5 storeys, she was on the 3rd floor, sharing a communial stack, the blockage happened to be between the 2nd and 3rd floors. So she was lucky to get to see what the 4th and 5th floor tenants had for supper. Not only that, there is a hole at the back which goes straight on top of the ceiling of the flat below, where much of this muck went too...

nice:)nearly as bad as finding blood all over the place smackhead 1 had hit smackhead girlfriend in the head with a samurai sword and chopped a few of her fingers off, personally there are better ways to re decorate

She wanted it removed, because the bathroom smelled, it was an internal bathroom so just a non working extractor. No access to any of the soil pipe as it was all hidden internally. After plungeing furiously for 20 minutes or so, it was obvious that everything in the pan was rising. I suggested to the letting agent that a drainage company be called in, but because it was her only toilet, it had to be dealt with there and then. So after warning all of the possibilities, this was the result. She ended up being put in a top notch hotel, Specialist cleaners were brought in, 2 different drainage companies were call in. And I earned a great deal of money, mostly spent napping in my van outside waiting for the others...

Hi. Used to do a lot of Housing association work and have had some lovely jobs. The one that sticks out most is a bathroom refurb. We had been warned that the flat was a mess which it was. Soon discovered that tennants bog hadnt been working for a few years and was a right mess, caked in **** and apparently when the toilet had been filled to capacity the tennant started using the bath to **** in instead. To top it off they also used a bucket in the front room for when they couldnt be bothered to go to the bathroom.
