hi all, i have a replacement shower bar that i need to fit, the problem is this - my combi is in the loft, i have had a good look for issolation valves on the hot and cold pipes that go through the ceiling to the bathroom, i see none, only thing i do see is one valve that i think issolates the cold water to the bathroom and kitchen. i did see a number of valves underneath the bathroom when i was under the house recently (not the easiest place to gain access to) so i susspect there underneath there stupidly! so will it be ok to turn the mains water of where it comes into the house, switch the power to the boiler off and do it that way ? do i need to open any taps ? will i have any problems with air locks etc whaen the supply is back on ?

hope that makes sense

thanks

yes turn everything off and open all taps in house, lowers and highest point are most important. then do the work , close all taps and turn water back on. open taps slowly as water will splutter out everywhere with a mix of air in it for a few minuets, after doing this then turn electric back on to combi.

thanks for that, my house is all on the flat so that only leaves the kitchen taps, will i turn on the tap at the bathroom sink also ?
