yep already seen weather comp and room stats and progs mandatory

Looks like nothing new.

Looks like they are going to alter fitting trv's as not mandatory. And making weather comp mandatory.
There's charts for the savings, but most take 9-21! Years to pay back.

I would say, put more emphasis on better insulation on older housing.

What about forcing manufacturers to make boilers that last for longer than 10 years? I reckon that will do far more to save the planet than making the fitting of weather compensators compulsory!

No point in weather compensators if your house is classified as E rates though is there

Anyone else noticed that the figures for weather compensation assume they are fitted and maintained FOC.
Section 2.10 also reveals average savings of condensing boilers at £95.00 per year equates to a 25 year payback period,( or 35 years if installed by BG).
5% annual income on energy cost is accepted by most households. 100% of monthly income on boiler replacement is not.
Better insulation of homes and increased reliability of boilers to last 15 years +, is the path to true savings and the reputations of all involved.
