Can I ask when other people have added gas appliances to their gas ticket. When you did the assessment, did you do any of the optional training the test centres offer? Thanks for any insight.

Most of mine now are resits and I also do most of them at the same time and I always do the training when I do ccn1 or lpg changeover.

I think the only one i have which is different is fires and didnt bother doing any training for that.

Thanks for the feedback it's cookers I'm looking at adding. Strangely I have LPG on my gas ticket. Its part of the nvq level 3 in plumbing gas section. Though I've never used it and sure most on my course won't of either.

It would probably only be one day anyway. Morning training and pm assessment? Not sure but, can't see it taking any longer. Not much to learn that you don't know already. Room sizes for what cm2 ventilation required if at all. Clearances to side and above. Tightness test with a cooker lid. Safety device test. Low flame high flame for ovens. Etc etc.

I was going to do the assessment on a Saturday sadly they can't offer training on a Saturday. So I would have to go over on an evening to do this and it's quiet a journey. That's why I was wondering if many do the training.

I have an ideal vogue max S18 boiler and I’m considering fitting auto balancing TRVs, my question relates to the boilers pump. I see a boiler pump menu for either 70% or 100%, so, is the pump set at either one of two fixed speed percentages or does the pump actually vary speed, (modulate)...
