Hi everyone can you help, can i drain the heating circuit of a unvented heating and hot water system and sill keep the hot water on line.
 
Yes you can,if you have immersion heaters to heat it,the heating circuit is a separate coil inside

If you wanted to disconnect heating side from hot water side and heat water via gas boiler you could but would have to cap off flow and return pipe work to radiators to allow to be drained and disable electrical side for heating also
