Just taken a leap booked in to do commercial and catering

do you get the call for commercial if you dont tbh i dont see the point

None whatsoever so It will be a steep learning curve. Plan to ease myself into it and already got takeaways lined up for work. Gonna go on few manufacturers courses aswell. No rush for me to get earning as the domestics side of gas is doing well anyway. This is more a long term plan to get away from bathrooms as I've had enough of them and gas is what I enjoy most.

I get calls for catering the odd one for commercial. Even if you don't get calls for em there's no reason not to do it. If your good at what you do and determined enough you will make it succeed. I came into plumbing at 36 got my gas at 38. There's more reasons for me to go commercial than not. Hard work conquers conquers all.

One States up to 1m3 the other states up to and over 1m3... So by logic you only need to sit 1 in order to cover both yet everyone I know has both..

Maybe croppie can clear that up??

As far as I was aware 1a covers you for both. Pretty sure I'm one of the few with just 1a then.

tpcp1 is up to and over which is all I have and my understanding is that I can as it states go upto and over.

Yet if you look at the bundles training centres put together they issue 1 and 1a

Also looking at other company's in my area on the gas safe register they all have both.

Checked it a while back and my assessor was adamant I only needed the one, I just couldn't work out why so many held both
