Hi everyone,
How do you know if there is a cross over with the pluming system in flat? All pipe work under sink, bathroom etc in the flat itself are legit but the rising main is in the attic, there is one rising main pipe (22mm) which has two pipes teed onto it that deliver water to three...
Hi everyone,
What does the summer/winter dial do on a tank less gas geyser? Should you adjust it or leave it on one mode or adjust it according to seasons?
Any info would be great thanks.
Hi everyone,
Is it possible for chlorine content in mains water to be increase when everyone has been connected to the mains supply after being disconnected from water tanks.
I feel that the water quality smells more of bleach and the cold water is a a lot drier on skin ever since the other...
Hi everyone,
I turned my cold water feed off in the airing cupboard which supplies only cold water to my bathroom but it also turned the water to my toilet off is that a correct set up? Because it didn't used to before the stop valve in airing cupboard only turned off the cold water supply to...
A receipt of payment as he always gives one once the job has been completed. Old messages state what was the original price, his argument is that I was told of the new price while the work was being carried out but I do not recall him saying, he was going to charge more and caused damage in my...
Yes he is from a trade site, wras approved engineer/plumber. I have a message of the price we originally agreed to and feel stupid for paying him more than I wanted to because I felt some sort of loyalty as he has done work for myself and family for a few years and thought if I have any issues...
Thank you for your advice. I always paid him via bank transfer to his business account. He had always provided a receipt in the past as his work is guaranteed for 12 months but I am not sure if he is avoiding it this time because he knows he overcharged me? But even if that is the case I...
Thanks for the reply and information so far. It is a complete mystery why the stopcock in the kitchen now turns off the hot water and cold in the kitchen when previously it only turned off the cold in the kitchen.
No idea why that would happen once everyone was disconnected from the water tanks...
Hi everyone,
A plumber did some work for me and has done so in the past as well and has been great which is why I hire him.
Anyway the last job he did he overcharged me, caused a little damage in my kitchen where he was working and after many requests has not provided me with a receipt ( 7...
Hi thank you so much for the reply Maryplumb as that's exactly what it may actually be and you might have just solved the great mystery.
I had a visual check done and their were 3 extra large galvanised water tanks in the attic
One main riser for each side of the blocks meaning two in total for...
Thank you for the replies. I am on the top floor and the attic is above my flat with the disconnected galvanised tanks and pipework.
I am top floor with two flats below me.
The issue is that the cold water supply is now very harsh/dry and I don't know why. Anytime I use the cold water my skin is...
Thanks for the replies. I am just trying to understand what the workies would have done to the piping in the attic that now my stopcock turns the hot water off from my kitchen where as before I could only turn off the hot water by turning the isolation valve on the gas combi boiler.
My...
I wish that was true, but the previous owners had it switched to mains supply in 2016.
The workers who disconnected the rest of flats also told me that they didn't touch my pipe supply as I wasn't connected to the water tanks at all.
This is what's baffling me to why the stopcock now turns off...
