Halstead Ace High, Flow switch does not activate DHW micro switch

Can anyone advise me.
I have a Halstead Ace High the CH works fine but the spindle that should come out of the Flow switch when taps turned on does not reach the micro switch. If i activate the micro switch manually it fires the boiler.I have ordered a new diaphram to fit but i am wondering what to do next if that does not work. The manual does not show the internal workings of the flow switch but there must be some sort of valve/ diverter arrangement.

Think positive,the diaphragm sounds worn,once replaced should work ok,as you say ,when you operate manually you get hot water so diverter seems ok

I have got the Halstead Ace boiler, I have a problem thats driving me mad, all rads are hot apart from the livingroom one, which is the most important. I have drained the system and fushed it out, I have replaced the TRV on the rad and spent hours on it filling it with hose and flushing the and de sludging the rad (cuz it was getting warm at top only) when all rads in the house are off the livingroom one does get warm a bit, but still only top. Then the boiler on light flashes according to the book its summat to do with c.h. water flow switch... any other ideas ? I have done all i can with the rad itself, could it be low water pressure ? a plumber replaced the diaphragm that switched between ho****er and heating and he put some solution in my system before too.
