Plasterboard frames for blind. What screws?

As above. You'll likely have a steel lintel behind the plasterboard too which will be fun. Just pay a handyman it will be much better than spending a ton of money on drills and metal screws or messing it up and having to redecorate

    No power to Manifold

Have you checked you have 240v going into and out of the room stats? They might be switching via low voltage battery or the relays aren’t working. You need to trace the electricity step by step forward or backwards in the switching order

2 soil stacks 1 vent - will it work?

Definitely need a durgo. Think you're allowed something like 6m of unvented pipe run but you would only ever do that last resort. You would never get away with 2 toilets connected to one pipe with no vent, thats asking for issues

    No power to Manifold

There should be a time control somewhere for your heating. In order check Supply to the CH system. This will be typically from the ring main with a fused spur but do check your consumer unit that they've not put in a seperate circuit for your CH. The fused spur or plug could be at the boiler...

32mm Matt Black Metallic Waste Pipes - Where to Get?

You don't need it in black. You should have a black cover plate which will go over the chrome. The reason I would use that fitting is because its the smallest compression fitting you can get and it fits behind the cover shroud unless your black cover has no depth to it and is completely flat

Blended hot outside tap from gravity

It needs to be balanced feeds so I'll bring the cold main down to 2 bar with a PRV and the gravity hot up to 2 bar with a pump. Can't be done without a new supply which I can't do so that idea is scrapped

Blended hot outside tap from gravity

Done a bit more looking at tap boost and can see why it wouldn't work, tap boost is only a minor increase and the pump would effect every other outlet when open. Not convinced it would pull air though, have fitted loads of digital showers just teeing off downwards and had no issues although I've...

Blended hot outside tap from gravity

Thats not going to happen otherwise I would have just taken a cold feed from the cistern. Why would it need to be from the cylinder? I can't see how its any different than something like tap boost?

    SULPHER SMELL IN SHOWER

Take a photo of the trap for us. It may be there is a part missing

Blended hot outside tap from gravity

Looking at something like this? I've very little experience with booster pumps but the last one I did was recommended stuart turner and avoid salamander. Any other recommendations? A water heater would be my prefered choice but I am a little worried about running out of hot water

Blended hot outside tap from gravity

Right so what about a 30L water heater? At 60c in the heater blended down to 30 (keeping it low to make the most of the hot water) you would get a 50/50 blend? Meaning 60L of hot water at something like 10lpm if I restricted it which would be easily enough to wash a dog you would get 6 minutes...

Blended hot outside tap from gravity

Customer wants an outside tap for dog washing so needs to be blended. The hot water is gravity and its a bungalow so little head at the point of installation. I can't get a cold from the storage cistern to the utility so it has to be mains cold. Can pressure reducing valves be taken down to...

32mm Matt Black Metallic Waste Pipes - Where to Get?

I think you may be Rubbish out of luck with that one. How big is the basin if the trap to the wall is over 400mm? When doing chrome ones I use one of these and then the chrome shroud covers the fitting, I presume you have a black one?. It would look something like this

    Kitchen taps, repair or change??

put your re-seating tool in a drill chuck and go to town on it. I would be changing it though if it was my house.

    Is this pipework acceptable???

that copper is worth about £60 as scrap and no good to be used anywhere. I have no idea on what your agreement was with him over that but I write on my quotes to get rid of scrap and there would be an additional charge if you wanted to keep it.

    Is this pipework acceptable???

Looks Rubbish. Your best bet is to document a timeline of events and communications with the other plumber to take to court if you go that route. You should give the original plumber a chance to put the work right. I do hope you did that and can prove that before taking him to court. The next...

Clipping Pipes running though metal web joists

I cut some roofing batten fix my clips to it then screw into the the bottom timber. The reason I do the bottom as it gives my room to allow everything to vent without high spotting When running in the direction of the joists I’ll cut a piece of timber the depth of the joists and fix it...

    Hide Pipe Recommendations

10mm into the wall or 60mm into the concrete floor I think I would go with the wall.

We recommend City Plumbing Supplies, BES, and Plumbing Superstore for all plumbing supplies.
