    First off take the shower head off and use the shower pipe at full volume directly into the trap, take off any restrictions like a hair trap first. I have to jet wash my shower pipe from outside at least twice/year due to low fall and soap accumulation, you may need to do the same?

    Bumping this up, if anyone has experience of top feed oil tanks, should the oil line be insulated up the side of the tank, if so how do you attach the insulation to a plastic tank? Pipe being used is green PVC covered, would this be sufficient?

    Why does the pump need to be two bar? If its a gravity feed cold water outlet in a bungalow that's far too powerful if you want to blend with hot from an indirect cylinder.

    Bailing out the loo is not something I would even consider, buy the wet vac and stay smelling sweet, better yet is re-plumb without the macerator, but sometimes not possible, I would even consider putting the loo in a different room, but would do everything I could to get rid of the macerator.

    Gremlins, Children or a very well trained Cat. 🤣 Seriously though, it could be that the internal overflow is getting sufficient water from the inlet that it syphon flushes every half hour, if you are confident that the inlet valve is stopping the flow, look to the joints weeping.

    Sounds like a syphoning problem in the main stack or connected pipework emptying the shower trap, needs an air inlet valve somewhere or the plumbing sorted to provide a bypass to stop the syphoning.

    If your water is getting excessively hot, it would indicate that the HW valve is being by-passed, the rubber ball in the valve could have perished as they tend to do, they do not last forever.
