    Toilet Fill Valve Hissing

Turn the water off and then unscrew the first plastic nut behind the red circles. You need one of these - Arctic Products Siamp Diaphragm Washer Double check the diaphragm before you buy the part but the inlet looks identical to mine. Nice easy fix. Ive replaced my own a couple of times over...

Newbie requesting help with a geberit flush valve

Hi, You dont elaborate on how its leaking, have you checked the water level is not set too high and is trickling into the overflow and back into the pan? Sorry if that sounds patronising, sometimes the easy solutions are overlooked. Cheers

Shower issue now Hot water issue!

Would you have fitted an in line PRV instead then Shaun even though it has done the job? As mentioned in another thread I partially closed an isolator on my bathroom sink to reduce the flow as the mixer tap loved to fire the water out of the sink if you fully opened it. One of your fellow...

Glad you got it sorted. Sorry for my lack of knowledge, just interested to know incase this issue ever happens to me. Did you fit an iso to balance the cold water pressure or for another reason? I mentioned the shower as that was my first thought and then when i Googled it loads of people had...

Shower issue now Hot water issue!

As an Amatuer guess id say one of the shower mixer valves is kaput and is letting the cold water into the hot pipes. Quick Google on it brings up same problem for other homeowners. Im interested to see what it actually is though as I have a mixer shower myself. Hopefully one of your fellow...

I only found out about chrome solder fittings a few weeks back when i posted a pic of a rad i put in my kitchen with chrome pipework. Not sure i fancy stripping back the chrome on every joint though for the solder. if youre not spot on you would have a poorly soldered joint or exposed copper...

Dont forget jointing compound on your compression fittings. As a DIY'er its a recent discovery for me as I always used to ptfe the olive, compound is sooo much easier to use.

DIYer updating plumbing fittings in cloakroom toilet - Help needed

Yeah, it was turned off a bit to reduce the flow as the mixer tap just loved to fire water out of the sink and soak you and the floor if you were half asleep and lifted the lever all the way up. Tiling was a mixture of wet, dry and hole cutters. Only my second tiling job so was happy with it.

I'm not old enough to know about this bath waste branch.

Where does this pipe go to/terminate, internal/external stack or jointed to plastic or copper under the boards? Could you not just rip it out and start again with all new waste pipe with a shallow trap for your new bath so you know its all sound?

Stainless Steel Sink - Clips Needed ? - silicone seal

It could be worse, the joiner could have done the cut out and then when your plumber inserted the sink it fell straight through the worktop!!! Why didnt the plumber just notch a few bits of worktop out for the clips? He wouldnt have had to do the whole cut out again. Silicone is strong...

New shower mixer but shower drips occasionally

Every shower ive ever owned electric or mixer drips at some point during the day or night. Ive found it is just what water is left in the shower head coming out. Try tipping the shower head upside down and shake it to get some of the remaining water out of it when youve finished your shower...
