    If you top it up when the boiler is warm/hot then when the boiler is cold it will show a small drop. If you have a substantial drop .5 bar then call them back.

    I think the first thing I would be finding out is whether you have a water meter and the position. Next would be the actual size of the pipe my guess 1" would be 25mm which although you could possibly run 2 houses off it I would want the full 25mm for my house only. Let's be honest the reason...

    £8 :eek: I'll let the house stink then! I used to work with a chippy and he was like a dog get to the job and within half hour go for a dump. He always made a right mess and never cleaned afterwards and you could smell it all over the house. The customers looked horrified.

    Easier said than done at times. Makes my eyes water sometimes. :eek: Generally if they go out then fill her boots or preferably the bog open windows spray etc and hope they dont come back for a bit. Otherwise I'm off Tesco's or any other shop.

    Depends on what's involved though. I can have a heating system piped and on the wall by 12. If electrics a little tricky chuck a fly lead on with plug, do condense, prv patching up etc whilst flushing. Whilst draining wire up properly, fill out paperwork finish by 5 I would happily do that for 400.

    If you had the leak and phoned them out to sort this leak and then noticed within 7 days or 2 weeks of the new boiler being installed that the pressure was still dropping at the same rate then push as hard as you can.
