    shower leak on floor

Is that expanding foam used to support the tray? Wow :D Maybe remove all the foam, then you can get to and repair/replace the trap and waste pipe then prop the tray with something better than the foam. Heavy tenant maybe?

    bath screens and shower screens

My local merchant does me some cracking prices on K-Vit shower enclosures, never had an issue with them. 6mm glass minimum imo.

Aqualisa Thermostatic Cartridge - Grey 022801- Help

As Ben-gee says, the o-ring at the back is a pita on those showers. It doesn't sit on the cartridge, it sits in the (12mm ish) hole right at the back of the unit in the wall. Aqualisa/Gainsbrough advise that you change that o-ring whenever you change the cartridge and it's awkward. Crochet...

Water leak from toilet, water dripping from living room ceiling

Once it's dried out have a poke at it you'll know the answer then. I've seen ceilings sag and break from a small drip, also seen ceilings that have survived after being wet through by a proper full bore leak. Depends what it's made of, how well it's fixed to the joists, whether it was...

help fixin dual flush toilet mechanism

I've had that same valve stick on a few occasions. Only real fix imo is to replace it. It just turns and pops out of its cradle so very easy to swap out. It's made by Wirquin, take the old one to merchants and get a new one. I know PTS stock them round here but they're pretty common so should...

    Toilet seat fixtures need tightening

The cover will definitely come off, is that a hole for a grub screw I see on the 2nd picture? It'll fit back in the hole if you wind the plastic bit back down the thread.

    Soil pipe material identification

There is another material that was used to make pipes that looks very similar to asbestos, can't remember the name of it. If it may be asbestos then treat it as asbestos, not worth the risk.

    Old Stopcock on Lead 1/2" ~ 3/4"

Had a similar issue a few years ago, you can't get new parts for these anywhere. I also asked on here, best advice I got was go to local scrap merchants and check out the brass bins for spares. With mine the handle had snapped off so couldn't just fix it. What's wrong with it, not fixable?

    Missing Waste Water Trap?

Agreed, there's definitely bits missing there.

Leaky toilet cistern - Advice on flexi hose

The problem with most flexi tap connectors is that they are either compression or push fit on the end that doesn't join to the flush valve spigot. So they are made to attach to 15mm tube. For some reason, the flexis that come with monobloc taps usually have a tap connector instead of a...

Leaky toilet cistern - Advice on flexi hose

If you're using a flexi, this is the one for you: JG Speedfit 15mm 1/2 BSP 300mm Flexi Hose 15mm x 1/2" - https://www.toolstation.com/jg-speedfit-15mm-12-bsp-300mm-flexi-hose/p63534 You'll need to install the fill valve (good choice of valve btw) then offer up the flexi so you can see where you...

Water leaking under Tub when filling tub

The underside view of that tap spout is unusual. If water comes out of the end of the copper tube part then I'm guessing some is running back along the outside of the tube and through the tap body. As a test you could fill the gap where the copper tube part disappears with silicone, let it dry...

How to remove this bad boy....

You'll need the correct insert for that grey pipe, no insert, or the wrong insert could see the fitting blow off at a later date. There may be one in the end of the grey pipe going into the 90 that you're removing.

Rerouting 28mm and 22mm pipes which were connected to old hot water tank.

Should be fine, but no plastic in the first 1m from boiler.

Rerouting 28mm and 22mm pipes which were connected to old hot water tank.

As Shaun says, you'll have to trace the routes to see if they're live. As a side note, you want smaller diameter pipes with a combi. The larger the pipe the more water it holds, so more water to heat before it comes out of your taps. Quite often a combi will be installed and the hot water has...

How do you stop water going down small hole where the pop up lever is

There's usually a loose o-ring on there but it doesn't do much. I don't think it's been badly installed, just not a good design of tap.

How to stop my pipes clanging

The pipe clang when you get up from your chair will be pipes under the floorboards that are touching (or almost touching) the underside of the boards. It would be worth lifting boards and securing any pipes that are loose or touching the underside of the boards. That may sort your random clangs...

Are B & Q 15mm isolating valves reliable and full bore?

No and no. They'll work for a few turns then weep from the screw slot part, also not full bore.

    Soil pipe? Leaking help!

Not sure what your question is, but it needs someone to get up there and see where the leak is and fix it. Sometimes it looks like a leak is coming from one place but when you get to it, it's actually leaking somewhere else and running down a pipe until it hits something thatmakes it visible...

Shower tray, is it cracked and should I install?

Unless you signed something to waive your statutory rights and bypass the sale of goods act then you're entitled to an exchange. It grates my cheese when stores try to wiggle out of basic selling rules with tosh like 'you didn't inspect it within 24 hours'. They'll exchange it but will make out...
