Vaillant Ecotec Diverter Valve Repair Cartridge

I've seen some replacement cartridges for Vaillant Ecotec diverter valves, just the innards. Aftermarket stuff, not official, and I know you're supposed to use official parts and all that, but the diveter valves on Vaillants are probably the weakest part i'd say. Has anyone used them and had...

DPS Thermal Store- hot water/flow issues

I'm not sure as the current homeowners have only been there for a short while, but hasn't worked adequetly in the six months they've been there. And i didn't realise they were still about, sounds like i need to go back and do a more detailed investigation, if this has the same flow rates as...

DPS Thermal Store- hot water/flow issues

It was a little low i think at 60 so i put it up to 70. Both outlets open i'd say 25/30 degrees, barely warm at all

DPS Thermal Store- hot water/flow issues

Hello, hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday weekend. I have a customer with a Dedicated Pressure System (DPS) Heat Bank System (Thermal Store). If they run one bath/shower, it's fine. If they try to run two at once the water at both is barely even warm. I know the house has been extended...

    Heatline Capriz Plus Drain Plug

Yep, that's it. Ridiculous that it's not available on its own. I went back to the job and it had stopped leaking on its own so i left it well alone.

    Heatline Capriz Plus Drain Plug

I've not, but i'm going back tomorrow to see what i can do. All i need is the plastic plug bit, it's the ridiculous type where you have to undo it with a screwdriver/wrench then quickly get your hose on before/whilst it goes everywhere. What it screws into is the pump housing, so it comes with...

    Heatline Capriz Plus Drain Plug

Hello, i require a drain plug for a Heatline Capriz Plus 28a, i've just phoned up the spares line and have been given a code of 0020203966, but when i look this up at any supplier it is listed as a 'handle'. I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever needed one of these, if they managed to get...

    Immersion heater overheating

London, so yes. I've visitied yesterday and turned to almost its lowest setting so we'll see if that helps but in future i'll definitely shine a torch in to see how much limescale there is 👍

    Immersion heater overheating

Hello, i have a job that had an immersion heater overheating, i didn't know how old it was so just replaced it as they don't seem to last these days. Within a week it had overheated, so i reset it. Now a month later it has gone again, and maybe once more. It's a 14" immersion, incoloy/titanium...

    Cp12s in this currant situation.

My understanding of the current situation is for a sole trader we can still work AND get the payout in June. My guess is it'd be so complicated to work out who gets it and who doesn't otherwise, without doing a mini tax return. And also to avoid the situation of losing a great deal of workers...

How much denso tape do i need?

Hello, i've got a job to replace some pipework in the floor with new, then cover it in denso tape. Can anyone give me a rough idea how much coverage i'll get per roll? It's 15mm and 22mm pipes, im thinking 50mm x 10m rolls. Thankyou

Will a Vaillant 150 Timeswitch fit and older Ecotec?

I've got an older Vaillant Ecotec combi with a 130 Timeswitch that's broken, can the newer 150 timeswitch be used on it rather than paying over the odds for a 130? I know you can put the pins in a couple of different positions but can't remember if it fits the older ones or not. Thanks in advance

    Draining down in a flat

I'm just wondering if anyone had any tips for draining down a heating system etc in a flat where you can't run a hose all the way out so has to be done all within the flat, but doesn't have a shower tray so the hose has to go up and over into a toilet etc. I sometimes use a wet and dry vac but...

Which combi boilers are available with a rear flue option?

I've emailed a few of the manufacturers so i thought i'd update you with my findings- Ideal - "The only models with the rear flue option are the Logic Heat range." Worcester - "None of the boilers have the ability to have the flue come from the back of the boiler itself. " Baxi -...

Which combi boilers are available with a rear flue option?

I'm after a boiler with a rear flue option for a replacement cupboard installation, i know the Vaillant Ecofit Pure and Gloworm equivalent but i've fitted one before and wasn't really happy paying a grand for what seems to be essentially the same as a £480 Heatline Capriz2 so was looking for...
