    Anyone know why it is only in the part that's inside the stopcock? Could the copper be reacting to something in the brass stopcock? It seems unlikely.

    Thanks. I didn't look at the rest of the system too closely and I never saw what type of hot cylinder they had but I've just not heard of an OV system not having a vent pipe. Hence the question.

    Been trying that and it's making no difference. Just blows out a bit of water, air and steam then steady stream of water but next time the boiler does same as before. I've bled the pump too. Blocked heat exchanger maybe?
