    noisy non return valve.

    I have a unvented system and have run a secondary return on the hot water due to the size of the property. I have a non return valve directly after the bronze pump that rattles and is causing a nuisance. Is there a diff type of double check valve i can use to stop this rattling?

    Bar Mixer shower cartridge.

    I have a standard cheapy bar mixer shower that isn't getting hot and the customer wants to keep the shower. (It's got a diverter and a big shower rose head) Will a standard bar mixer cartridge do the job?? Ie from another bar mixer I have as spare in the garage?? Are they all 1/2" ?

    Condense neutralisers.

    My only option for a condense pipe on this instal is to run outside. However I think the 2 soil pipes here are cast iron or asbestos. Was thinking of adding a neutraliser and trying to instal a soak away. What are people thoughts on these? It's a swap from an old non condensing combi.

    3 port valve change 4 to 5 wire.

    I need to change a 3 port valve tomorrow as the valve is screwed and leaking badly. It's a 4 wire potterton but I want to replace with a 5 wire honeywell. Can anyone help with the wiring? Where does the extra wire go????

    Wilo or Grundfoss..

    I've had 3 hot water pumps blow this week. 2 Grundfoss and 1 Wilo sb30 on secondary return pipes. Not much difference in price. But most of the common plumbing branches only seem to stock Grundfoss. Are they generally a better brand of pump?
