    Very emotional

After hearing today Vaillant are going to switch over to downward firing burners and aluminium hex. I can't think of one boiler nice to work on that has one. Why fix what's not broke? Apparently it's a result of magnetite and scale build up even after propper flushing and chemical treatment...

    New Vaillant flues

Whats everyone else's opinion on the new Vaillant flue? I think it's total pap the terminal looks like a dog muzzle and not being able to fit the external collar after fitting the flue is a right pain. I've been told that the plume kit bow needs 45ing back to Wall because the terminal sticks out...

    ERP Ratings

What are peoples views on this and what duties do we have? I understand that a label needs to be fixed to the boilers/cylinders/solar we fit but I've heard that we may have to give the full system an energy rating based on controls fitted ect. Can anyone enlighten me?

As far as I'm aware the monsoon is continuously rated and the showermate not and I'm guessing will cut out due to heat or a timer? Bypass Length

Guys I'm going to be changing a mid position valve for 2 zone valves to assist with heat dispersal. The boiler pump and valves are fitted in a basement along with the cylinder so the bypass between flow and return will only be a short distance (1m) from the boiler. When I've done this before the...
