Hi, I've not been on for a while but I could do with some help if you can.
I've a combi boiler to fit in a small anex, I dont reckon it needs much more than 3-4Kw.
Would be nice to fit a boiler that is well suited and so I want a combi that will modulate down to around 3Kw (like a 10:1...
I've a customer who's keen on a combi to replace their existing regular boiler and copper cylinder, I've seen that worcester cdi's (and probably others) say suitable for 2 showers but I've still always advised against combi's with multiple showers.
How plausible is it and why wouldn't a similar...
Ok so I called gassafe today to check hoe to clasify low working pressure and was told if it's not effecting combustion then just note it as a fault (ncs) if it is then it's AR.
I've always worked on the principle that when it's close to 14mb or below I'd put it AR and if it was badly effecting...
It seems I spend a lot of my time telling customers that their ventilation is undersized or their flue is slightly too close to a window or the access to their boiler is not acceptable etc...
Then eventually I go to service or repair a Johnson & Starley warm air heater and my idea of what's safe...
I'm a Worcester man, mostly due to the proper load compensation and built in weather comp on the wave and now easy control.
Is there another boiler/control combo that works so well together???
I know all about open therm but are there any controls and boilers that make GOOD use of the protocols...

Yes if you've got an open vented system, lost water, had work done or have to top up the system occasionally or are not sure of any of the above.
However...

So... I've been asked to do the heating in my cousins new single story annex and was after some advice on running heating pipework.
I've quoted for UFH but as money is tight I want to offer a price for rad's too...

Bad day today, please help!
I've been to a job on a vented heating system with no heat (poor flow) in downstairs rads, well all over really.
I bled a little air from manual vent, checked the 3-port was motoring, roughly balanced lockshields and checked pump was spinning.
no luck
I isolated...
