Filling Loop query.
If you are qualified to do a Gas Safety check on a property I assume that entails checking the boiler. If, when checking a Combi, you notice the flexi filling loop in place (Taps closed) would you remove it or leave it be? Should removal of old system boiler be complete inc tanks?
Just bought a property that needs lots of work doing so decided CH to be the first to start with. Old system was 20yrs old so decided on a 35Kw Ideal boiler to be installed by a Gas safe installer. WHY are some combis fitted with an integral or fixed filling loop?
I have a main Eco 30 that i am working on and the Filling loop needs replacing. OE is £60. There are a few online around £30 (4 day wait) or I can use a flexi. Just wondering which way to go here. Also it is always advised that flexi's be removed - WHY since the fixed one obv isn't.- rizla01
