    I got out as much as I could. Then tighted hand tight, The section connected to the autostop value should not move. If it does it will leak.

    I'll post what worked for me in case anyone else comes across this post. The thread had a small amount of ptfe tape in the grooves from before. Cleaning out the thread was the key to making the connection tight.
