He didn't say I couldn't leave the cleaner in. Thanks for the heads up. Just read the back of the bottle and it says "circulate for one hour, drain and flush." I don't have a flushing machine, never used one, is it worth me using it at all do you think?
Hi,
I have my boiler on a boiler plan with Baxi. The heating hadn't been turned on since spring (a rookie mistake no doubt.) Engineer visited but he was only there to service. I think he briefly called for heating while doing whatever he was doing and then said it went "crazy" noise wise and...
Customer wants a new concealed shower rather than repair current one.
I've actually never installed a concealed shower before.
There is good access to the other side of the wall as it's a cuboard (although that means I'll need to construct something to support the valve, any suggestions...
Hi all,
Custard has this open topped bit of soil which obviously stinks. She has bought two, for some reason, AAV's and tried sticking them in the end but still stinks.
I've zero experience with soil and vent but I'm guessing the soil needs the socket cut off and these get solvent welded inside...
Go-to bog was Ideal Standard Della from Screwfix but appears discontinued replaced by rimless version that everyone says is no good in the reviews. Navis Lamone from Wolseley looks reasonable from the one pic (and no dimensions given) on the site. Anyone fitted it? Looks reasonable? Not too...
They taps in question have standard full turn compression tap valves and rubber washers. So guessing these aren't going to let cold through when just hot is being operated?
It's a Baxi Duo-Tech Combi HE
I've lived here for nearly 3 years and the problem only started in last year or so. All the taps and shower have been changed during that period but I don't believe the problem occurred immediately.
Peak demand may be something? Although not sure how you discover...
Caveat: I don't do boilers so no idea about them. My flow switch comment is pure guesswork based on zero understanding.
If I turn my kitchen mixer tap on hot, fully on, cold fully off, about 75% of the time the combi fires up and produces hot water for a bit but will then cut out. I am not...
Yeah saw one today. And another one few weeks back. Both had 1/2" fill valve hole one side and 3/8" the other. Actually come to think of it it must be an alternate fill valve hole for the euro market. What would be the point of a 3/8" overflow hole? Probably came with supplied optional blanks...
Seems to be only 1/2" and 3/4" even on places like toiletspares.co.uk
But they def exist as I've seen a couple.
Amount of bogs I fix I'd quite like one on the van. But google comes up with nowt.
Cheers
I'm thinking say yes, plan to just clean the rubber pan con seal, bit of plumbers mate on new pan waste spigot if it looks like it would help but inform customer no guarantees on how long it lasts and that if it doesn't it's tiles off due to the tiler making impossible to change pan con. Or...
