I remember seeing 'scheme' work put in 15 years ago, (Isar - icos) to me they looked like good installs. I suspect every job will be checked after so the engineer will have to do what's required.
3 pumps in total,
I think I'll have to have both the pumps running with the DHW zone valve holding the heat from the cyl. (There is a bypass)
Or one pump on the pump over run and the other one stopping when the demand ends.
Hi,
I've got a rewire job next week.
The current setup, old cast iron boiler with pump over run, (currently wired so pump over run isn't working).
There is a (new) 2port and pump to the cyl with cyl stat with bypass.
There is a bronze pump for DHW
There is a (big) pump for the CH. (And...
I read a post a few weeks back on here, some guy had fitted his own bath, have a little leak and then said he couldn't sleep worrying about it.
Most replys just said deal with it, which I agreed with but maybe he was onto something ?
All boiler break and regardless of your budget or what make/model you have installed, the frequency your boiler breaks bares no relationship to the price you pay for the it.
However, the only thing to consider when choosing a make is, will the parts be available in 15, 20, 25 years time.
I've...
I don't think the police would care, they don't investigate minor crime any more .
I'm also not sure that turning the gas off is dangerous, if I find a boiler that's dangerous I turn the gas to make it safe.
This is what happens when you dont have to inform ncs to the customer.
If you want them to come back to fit a bracket, ring them and demend they remove THEIR meter from YOUR property, inform them you have purchased your own gas meter and will be having your own meter installed.
There were a couple of ex amy lads on my training at BG, id defo consider applying to them.
I have a young installation fast tract out with me at the monent, course cost 9k with a 8 or 9 work placement, think he can add cookers and fires at the end of the course.
From what i can tell, work...
I've been charging £50 for a cert with a hob, am to cheap, it's going up to £65 in the new year .
I bet the OP thought he was onto a winner offering £30, I hope the £1000s he claims he has spent doesn't disappear down the drain.
I guess it makes sense don't have to do a TT on a service.
Just thinking about the op total cert vs installation. It's like he's saying what you rather do, work like a Japanese beaver all day or do some nice certs. What this clown doesn't realise is, lots of boiler installers aren't even...
WOW! A TT isn't required to issue a cp12? But there's a question on the cert. Very weird .
To the OP, monkeys work for peanuts, Gas Engineers go to prison if we miss something and someone dies.
£30 is an absolute insult, I do them for £50 for customers how have a couple of houses, and in...
Just ask him to read my posts. Including this one.
Building regs require 2 heating zones, having one rad come on upstairs does not constitute a heating zone, it constitutes a pipework installation problem that MUST be resolved for the builder to comply with building regs.
A thermal image camera may be required.
It may be something a simple as moving the cylinder return so that it's the last return to the boiler, but yes, it may need some serious mess making then making good .
Changing the valve will do absolutely nothing, it may not be visiblly moving over but its bringing the rads on so its working fine.
You have a piping issue, namely its been piped up incorrectly.
That level is there to manually move the valve if the motor inside fails, its not a visual tool to...
