    Compression fittings on stainless gas?

Evening all, can you use compression fittings on stainless steel gas tube? Specifically lever valves and the like It’s something I’ve not actually done before, usually either get the crimp versions or threaded levers with male crimp adapters. Have tried the manufacturers and they were useless...

    Anyone familiar with AO Smiths?

thanks Shaun, I must admit I expected an input from you... yes stack going to mains and yes commercial. 28mm relief and 1 1/2 outlet going to rain water stack. Client has stated a trap is required where it drops into condense line.. Bearing in mind it is literally serving condense and no...

Hi all, Struggling to find a yes or a no answer here🤷‍♂️ BFC 30 installed... gas fired and unvented. Very very limited on where I can install the temperature and pressure relief discharge.... can I tee this into the condense on a swept tee? Provided of course it’s push fit and pvc-u The...

What tool bag are people using

As Simon says; cheap black bucket for me although I’ve used some 1 1/2 white plastic and cable ties to create ‘holders’ so it’s semi organised. Lasted me about 4 years... when it goes it’s a quid for a new one

White hairy material around towel heater pipe joint: asbestos?

Fair point I only looked at the joints. They look loctited to me... I personally haven’t ever seen or heard of asbestos being used inside rad valve Heads. That doesn’t mean they didnt just I’ve never seen them if you separate loctite it is actually quite fiberous looking; see the attached...

    Hot Water Cylinder incorrectly connected

As said above I feel a few pictures would be a help? Could be a faulty coil? - admittedly unlikely on a new cylinder but stranger things have happened

    Kitchen plumbing help

From what I’ve interpreted it’s a new tap install and they’re trying to get from the 3/4 on the tee to the female 1/2 on the flexi

    Kitchen plumbing help

You’re welcome... it’s what we’re here for Probably needed some ptfe tap on the fitting screwfix gave you to seal the thread although you’d still be stuck with a 1/2 bsp connection and 15mm compression though? That’s exactly what he should have done:)

    Kitchen plumbing help

The drawing makes a lot more sense! Although majorly over complicated for what it really needs to be... The link to the fitting would work without the nut and olive on the 15mm end. However it isn’t the correct way that fitting should be used. End of. You could however used that fitting and a...

    Kitchen plumbing help

I would personally change the set up, from what I can make out (the picture from above didn’t help much) try taking it in front of the pipe work? However the thread is 3/4 hence why the assumed 1/2 flexi won’t fit. A 3/4 female to 1/2 male reducer like this DZR Brass Pipe Adaptor 3/4" to 1/2"...

    Kitchen plumbing help

I think a pic would help..? You’ll probably need a washing machine tee https://www.NoLinkingToThis/p/washing-machine-valve-tee-15mm-x-15mm-x-/60723?tc=ST5&ds_kid=92700020953274180&gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&ds_rl=1249404&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjviWhOrS4wIVzLTtCh2QagpdEAQYASABEgLMGPD_BwE...

    Milwaukee SDS Cordless

Bosch battery sds for me. Used daily for Atleast 2 and a bit years and hasn’t missed a beat yet. For 4 inch cores and the like I used a cheap Titan corded drill from screwfix Like 60ish quid and no issue returns for when it gives up the ghost. Admittedly fairly bulky though.

We recommend City Plumbing Supplies, BES, and Plumbing Superstore for all plumbing supplies.
