Vokera compact he 35 hot water cycling

I have a vokera compact he35 combi and would like to check a few things: 1. Is the DHW thermostat “dry” or does the boiler need to be drained to replace this? I ask the above as I am experiencing a few issues with the boiler and thought of trying the above first. Hot water is...

John guest 4 way in line 10mm manifold

Shaun, now I'm confused. He has linked the 4th port on the FLOW pipe to the 4th port on the RETURN pipe. The other three ports on both flow and return serve 3 radiators. The system has 16 rads in total served by a number of manifolds. You appear to suggest what he has done is wrong, May I ask why?

John guest 4 way in line 10mm manifold

should have said all rads have TRVs so I guess he did this as a bypass in case all shut down.....think ill leave it as plumbed!

John guest 4 way in line 10mm manifold

Just spotted one of the 4 ports on the above FLOW unit is plumbed directly into the RETURN unit. Should plumber not have blanked off the unused port on FLOW and RETURN instead of plumbing them together? Manifold is feeding 3 rads.

Freezing 3yr old son's bedroom HELP!

Just checked and flow and returns are correctly plumbed at manifold. Measured length again and closer to 10m each way! Also noted none of the microbire pipework is insulated, so yet another to do job or is the heat loss through 10mm microbore not worth worrying about? Will be draining the...

Freezing 3yr old son's bedroom HELP!

Thought I would provide an update on this one, as only fair given all the advise given to date. Currently running system with x400 sentinel in it before giving it a manual flush using mains pressure in a couple of weeks time. What we found to date - 2 problem rads (slow to heat and not heating...

Freezing 3yr old son's bedroom HELP!

took a break from this problem as a- we had a temp swing of +15 degree here in Glasgow in the last week and so not so urgent as before and b- head was spinning fault finding. Consensus appeared to be that there was a blockage in the return leg from 3yr olds radiator. Whilst I have yet to...

Freezing 3yr old son's bedroom HELP!

Can I just ask one more favour - Im seeing 1.25 bar pressure rise from cold to hot and have a cold pressure of 1bar, hot goes just over 2bar after 3 1/2 hours tonight. Does this indicate I should check/re-pressurise the expansion vessel or is +1bar from heating acceptable? The vokera 35h EV...
