    That's what I was thinking, it is the cartridge. I have no idea how long tye shower has been there! Or where it's from. I've got a giy coming next week to install a new bath and taps etc. I'll ask him to have a go at sorting out the shower. Whoever did install it didn't leave a lot of wiggle...

    Turns out the 3 way valve wasn't opening fully. Plus hive system fitted, some folk out there aren't fans but I must say I'm rather impressed so far!

    I hope it's a simple thing , I've had enough of it now. How can it possibly go wrong within such a short time of it being fixed? I heard it wurr when he sorted out the wiring? The mind boggles!

    He'll call me back later . Could it be that the valve is partly blocked with sludge? The first engineer after draining the system put some cleaner in the small tank to help clean out the system, as the boiler installation guy didn't flush system at all.

    Which of these 2 pipes out of the tank should be cold btw? I know the one at the back is the cold water pipe but what of the other 2, and are either of those valves bleed valve? In case it's trapped air giving me grief?
