    CT1 for shower tray ?

Hi, I am thinking of using either white or clear CT1 to re-seal a leaking shower tray. I know it is expensive so would it be just as good to use a good grade silicone sealant. I obviously need something that will last and is waterproof. Any other suggestions are welcome many thanks

Change radiators for new ones ?

Thanks for the input. I suppose the question is does the outlay justify the benefit in increased efficiency and a saving in gas costs. I think the answer for me is no it does not, so I will stick with what I have at the moment and simply have the central heating on longer and/or raise the...

Change radiators for new ones ?

Thanks for that, yeah, as you say not really a cost effective proposition to change the radiators in view of the time it would take to recoup the ( extensive ) outlay. I will see how it goes when I increase boiler temperature and turn up the TRV's thanks

Change radiators for new ones ?

Thanks for the info, I will probably do as you suggest, ie increase temperature at the boiler and check settings on TRV's Just thought that with energy prices increasing maybe new/modern radiators could have been more energy efficient. many thanks

no heating- faulty wireless receiver ?

Thanks for that. When you say ' no closer than 600mm to any large metallic objects ' I am presuming you are not including the boiler ? ( which is a large metallic object ) the current receiver is close to the boiler and has been working OK for the past 6 years or so.

no heating- faulty wireless receiver ?

Yes, my original intention was to replace with a new paired unit, just thought I may have been missing something simple. I am looking at the Center/Honeywell unit which I presume is compatible.. https://www.wolseley.co.uk/product/center-radio-frequency-programmable-room-thermostat/

    Pan connector rubber seal

SimonG.... yeah I bought a pan connector from screwfix and used the rubber seal from that. Just seems a waste having an unusable pan connector .
