Just checked the shower back at home and there is a fibre washer and mesh filter ( see pic ) …… would it be belt and braces to add a rubber washer ?……and also PTFE on the thread
I bought the swirl fittings only thing I’m concerned about is on the ends the originals have a rubber washer / gasket whereas the swirl ones have nothing…… do I need something in there ? ( see pics )

So the swirl kit replaces the “ S “ fittings supplied with grohe shower …..so it’s compression onto the 15 mm tail and then the shower body connects directly to threaded outlets exposed ……so no worrying about that dodgy serated thread and PTFE or lock tite

40 mm run is 600 mm which gives you a fall of 26 mm
50 mm run is 1400 mm which gives you a fall...
