Pressure too high on Potterton Titanium Boiler

Last night I noticed the Boiler on E1. After a few times in the past having this issue and being advised on how to re-pressure the boiler, I pressured it to just under 2 - Boiler working again! This morning I came down to find out the under floor heating hadn't heated up the kitchen as much it...

Hot water but no Central Heating with young children

Thanks for all of your help. I managed to purchase a HONEYWELL 40003916-001 2-PORT V4043H REPLACEMENT POWERHEAD 22MM 22MM COMPRESSION from screwfix and watched a youtube video of how to change the motor from the old zone valve. Was very straight forward and although it was difficult getting a...

Hot water but no Central Heating with young children

Thank you for all your responses. It turned out to be a faulty zone valve (far right). I have managed to put it in manual override mode and when getting the underfloor heating to come on or/and heating up the cylinder, the rads now heat up as well. I assume this will not be covered by the...

Hot water but no Central Heating with young children

We have a Potterton Titanium Combi Gas Boiler which was setup with the wireless Nest Thermostat last year to provide heat to our radiators, heat up our unvented indirect cylinder to provide us hot water and to heat up our under floor heating in our kitchen. There is also one tap in the house...

Water Not staying hot for long with Tempest Cylinder 250L

I have had a tempest Unvented Cylinder installed in our cellar just over a year ago when we had our loft converted. From what I remember, The cylinder provides hot feed to only our two of our three bathrooms and kitchen sink. The Cylinder is scheduled to heat up for an hour every morning at...

Tempest Unvented Cylinder - Immersion Heater?

Thank you for your response. As a fix, can I simply leave the boiler switched off?

Tempest Unvented Cylinder - Immersion Heater?

Thanks for the response. Why is the boiler still coming on even though I have set the nest hot water program to never come on? Do I have to change the boiler to completely off as currently it is on the hotwater/rad sign but even when I just changed it to hot water only, the rad still comes on...

Tempest Unvented Cylinder - Immersion Heater?

Evening all, We have had a Tempest 250l unvented cylinder for just under a year which runs in connection with a boiler. It is scheduled to come one once a day (6am) for 1hr and it provides the house with hot water for the rest of the day. I have read on some forums it may be cheaper to run via...

    Loss of pressure from Boiler?

Last week I released air for a loft radiator as it was not heating up. I then re-pressurised the boiler to the high end of 1. The unvented boiler has been setup in a way that it provides central heating to all rads and hot water to just one tap whilst also heating up the water in the an unvented...

Indirect Unvented cylinder, Combi Boiler and Nest Thermostat

During last weeks heat wave, I was testing the hot water at each outlet. As the weather has been pretty mild since last week, the heating has not been on at all. When I am testing the hot water at each tap, no other service is in use, including rads or UFH. However it seems to still be the same...

Indirect Unvented cylinder, Combi Boiler and Nest Thermostat

apologies for my ignorance, I am not technical at all. My understanding was once the cylinder is heated up, the outlets would draw the hot water from the cylinder and not the boiler anymore...?

Indirect Unvented cylinder, Combi Boiler and Nest Thermostat

Unfortunately not, as the pipes from the cylinder are all under the panel that has been fixed back to the cupboard. The location of the boiler is within the kitchen. I believe there is a 3 port valve, 2 of the ports are for underfloor heating within the kitchen/diner area.

Indirect Unvented cylinder, Combi Boiler and Nest Thermostat

As requested, Pictures from the cylinder. Seems the hot feed from the top of the cylinder is branched off - 1. Specifically to the upstairs bathrooms x 2 (1st floor and loft). 2. The rest of the house

Indirect Unvented cylinder, Combi Boiler and Nest Thermostat

So many posts on here now, hard to keep up and on topic. Does this mean it should or should not take 40seconds to get hot water from the taps?

Indirect Unvented cylinder, Combi Boiler and Nest Thermostat

Looks like the gas light comes on the boiler during the schedule to heat the tank but once it reaches the correct temp, the gas light goes off (so does the flame) but the boiler continues to run with the rad light on until the scheduled time is over. Does this sound right? Also does the 45sec...
