Hi
Been doing a bit more frequent work at a hotel and there doesn’t seem to be any isolation valves.
Thinking of buying a machine for freezing but have no idea at all, what’s the best and most reliable? Are they straight forward to use?
Any help much appreciated
Thanks
Hello all
I hope it's okay to seek some advice on this forum.
A bit of background first: I live in a flat, built around 2000, originally came with PowerMax boiler, this was replaced with a combi Glow Worm end of 2012. End of 2015 had a leak from the flue, it was decided that it was due to poor...
Hi. We are about to commence a renovation and our architect has recommended GAIA electric UFH. We are trying to keep as much height in the relatively low ceiling in this area. It will be installed by professionals not me.
Has anyone had any experience or feedback on their systems? Would...
Hi all,
First post, just after some advice - it would be much appreciated!
My old man has just bought a flat, it has what appears to be a separate hot water system, with its own timer/controller in the airing cupboard. Looks pretty straight forward.
Just trying to work out the heating system...
I briefly visited a site this morning. A block of 15 apartments.
The set up was no gas supply to the apartment but had a 'Worcester hud' in the airing cupboard, seemingly endless electric boiler
Been looking online for what the setup is, to no avail!
Anyone help?!!?
Thanks in advance...
Hi, have a quick question, currently living in a two bed listed cottage that's heated by a wood burner with back boiler with that I heat with an emmersion hot water cylinder and a vented tank in the loft.
The wood burner keeps up with the heating demand in winter, but really cracks through the...
Hi Guys , I am putting a couple of extra Rads in a custs house . Plus a towel Rad . The towel rad is only going to be heated with an elecrtric element and not connected to the central heating . I have fixed the Towel rad with element onto shower room wall , but I am not sure wether to...
Not soliciting sales, yet, just sharing the concept. Our extensive experience with the prototyping tell us:
1. Pistol-grip drain machine designs like the ridgid k-45, general super-vee or rothenberger rospimatic are now obsolete
2. Auto-feed mechanisms are un-needed with this design for at least...
Anyone installed one of these its the first one for me not sure how it all gonna work out running cost ect not my choice the builder specified it but open minded on the right tariff may be ok economy 10 maybe time will tell cheers kop
I have a Glow worm betacom 30c combi boiler that is not connected to any water tank/cylinder in a 4 bedroom 1 bathroom house. I am adding two en-suite bathrooms which will include a shower, basin and toilet in each (saniflo systems in each). I need to identify how to determine what size unvented...
A subject that's probably been done to death, but a specific question I can't seem to find an answer to:
Putting running costs to one side, is there any noticeable different in heat up times for an unvented cylinder (let's assume an indirect megaflo) between gas and electric system boilers...
Hi all,
I have a combie boiler (kitchen) and a shower room in a loft conversion. The previous owners put in a basic electric shower (Triton Aquatronic 3 Ultra).
The issue is two things - first off, the pressure there is poor anyway but second, any time any other taps are running the water...
Hi all, I just moved in a 2 bed well insulated flat. It doesn't have gas yet. There's warm air central heating that doesn't work. Both kitchen and bathroom need redone, everything, so I am trying to think of the total plan, but not easy. SGN quotes 4k for gas connection, so I am thinking of...
Hello!
I have a butane tank standing under or close to an electric fence for the horses.
My question: Could this become a dangerous situation
if somehow the wire would come down and touch the surface
of the tank?
I know that the easiest solution would be displacing the tank,
but I want to ask...
Hi Guys,
My brother in law is buying a flat at moment that has old style storage heaters. He asked my advice but it's not something I've ever actually dealt with.
He can't get gas and it's only a small 1-bedroom first floor flat. I thought maybe get off Economy 7 and put a new style electric...

Hi all,
I have a customer who is looking for water heaters in a bar/ restaurant in Manchester. The building doesn't have a gas supply so the heaters need to be electric. Also, as it's a bar/ restaurant, it would more suitable to have a twin heater system in case of a breakdown.
I'm carrying...
Could someone help please? I have just moved into a flat that uses the Heatrae Sadia Wet Electric heating system for heating and hot water. It's proving very costly at around £100 per month and it's a huge unit (about the size of a fridge freezer) that sits in the middle of my kitchen/dining...
