I'm going to do the full 2 years of the NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating and I would like to move out of my parents and town as soon as possible. The thing is, it looks like you can barely survive on apprentice wage which is literally below minimum wage (£3.05) and even under 18 year old's...

Looking for someone in the blackwood/newport area
OK, I understand the "reasons" for a AAV/Durgo required to be fitted above the highest flood level on a stack. In the case of - say - an upstairs WC flushing that all makes sense, no point in fitting AAV below if there's a fat heavy plug of water falling down the pipe.
..But in the case where...

Hey folks.
I noticed when looking at my level 3 certs it said something along the lines of 'water regulations and unvented qualified' does this mean I can apply for the cards to show I'm qualified for these?
No idea how it works by the way.
Cheers.
I have just about completed my NVQ2 in plumbing and heating. I'm likely to finish my last install for the portfolio tomorrow.
I am self-employed. Not being an apprentice, I managed this with a mixture of direct observation by the college of self-employed work, and some work-based recorder...
I have a new t80 electric shower and its been installed on a wall that's slightly out of plumb. Now the button is sticking every few weeks and then I have to remove the face for it to release. Seeing as one can't go making a finished tiled wall plumb, any tips on how to get the shower plumbed...

Hi guys. I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the colleges in London as they don't offer the Level 3 Diploma in plumbing over weekends. The one who does, Able Skills, reserves the places on their weekend course for students who completed the level 2 Diploma with then only. All the colleges...

What would you suggest using to pack under the legs to make them level? They will be installed on a combination of wood, tiled and carpeted floors.
I was considering using...
