Hi.
Planning a renovation of our bathroom.
Our current toilet protrudes from the back of the wall as the waste pipe isnt close to the external wall.
See pic below.
I would like for a new toilet to be flush to the wall behind it... how can we go about doing this? Would the waste pipe need...
Hi all, this may sound silly, but I've noticed a leak on one of my waste pipes between the shower and toilet. I bought 40mm pipe and fittings from BnQ as of the time. But I noticed the original pipe is BS 5255 and won't fit on the new connectors or pipe. It seems just a little bit bigger...
Getting sick of using a junior hacksaw for cutting waste pipe etc and seen a few cutters out there narrowed it down to the rotty ones and the virax ones.
anyone own either?
Hi All
After a dispute with the kitchen fitters we have parted ways. I now have to setup the integrated dishwasher and add the door (plus a load of other stuff but not plumbing related). Should be straightforward as the Neff instructions are a series of images with screw hole positions on the...
Hello guys,
Ive got 2 sinks to fit in a new shop which will both be on the same run of waste pipe, the run is around 5m long with a few bends in. The waste pipe will run straight outside and into an open drain, this is the only route which is possible. This is the same route which was used...
Evening all.
Been working at an office block where today I received a call about a leak on an existing waste pipe.
I havent seen it leaking first hand but have seen the pipe work. It's lead as it comes in to the building and then has funny joint which I'm unsure of. Where the leak is and...
Hello,
We're using a general builder to do some work on our house. He found a leak in a waste pipe in our kitchen and got a plumber in to replace it. This wasn't an emergency call out but they've just sent an invoice through for £350. The work quotes is 'Supply & Fit Black Soil Stack Pipe...
Hi
Can you advise me please?
I need to replace waste pipe.
In wickes they sell the push fit.
They have pipe with no flared end which I'll use, pic 1 along with boss pipe & 40mm rubber connectors.
Also the boss pipe, just cut out with 40mm cutter & rubber fits it? Pic 3
In pic 2 the pipe...
Hi everyone.
I'm totally new to plumbing and have managed to attach a new kitchen sink but don't know how to deal with the waste pipe. I don't want to mess around with what's already there, but just need a way of attaching my grey ikea trap to my black 40mm waste pipe, which is quite high...
Hey all,
I have recently moving my washing machine into the utility room next door to make way for my new dishwasher. I have already cored a hole in the wall which is near the botom of the wall and have run the cold water inlet hose through it with no problems. I have 2 waste flexi hoses...
Hi. I am new to this forum.
I have a twin sink unit which is fitted with dishwasher drain. The two sinks drain into a single pipe which then runs to the ubend, the dishwasher drains into the pipe that flows from the Ubend trap. The dishwater drain pipe is initially looped above the height of the...
Hi!
Can you give me some advice please?. I live in a one bed on the 3rd floor of a 12 year old flat. I have a mildly bad smell that seems to be coming from the 1/2 gap where the large pan connector pipe slots into the waste pipe. The smell is not coming from the water that lays in the pan...
Hi all,
I'm currently replacing my toilet but whilst removing the waste pipe the cast iron section has broken off half way in the ground (concrete floor). Is there any was to insert new PVC piping into the existing cast iron pipe or do i need to dig down until i can reach the top of the pipe...
Removed a bath and basin in upstairs bathroom waste pipes not capped. Saniflo connected into soil stack in roof not bossed just open hole with elboe inside soil pipe drainage not blocked, yet when saniflo was used some how back fed into bath waste in room below. Im guessing the elbow inside the...
I've got a customer that has a leaking trap on his bathroom basin.
The trap and pipe work is quite old and made out of metal. Due to poor access and everything being painted I could not confirm which metal it was or what size. It looked roughly the same size as 32mm plastic.
Would I be able...
We're moving our bathroom upstairs (victorian terrace) and need someone to supply and install a waste pipe from outside ground level up wall and into new bathroom. We also need the necessary groundwork done (waste pipe in existing bathroom directly below seems to go straight into the floor...
So the elbow pan connector has been cemented into this 6 or 7 inch pipe and not set straight so pan is emptying slowly and I have to fix it.
So after taking the toilet out, how is best to get the pan connector and concrete out?
SDS chisel?
Also, a lot of concrete will end up going down the...
Anyone know the temperature rating of PVC waste pipe?
Im putting in a waste pipe for a commercial pasta cooker, it probably holds around 10 - 15 litres of boiling water to cook the stuff with. Im wondering whether a few meters of 42mm copper would be best installed before joining onto the...
