I gotta fit an undersink unvented water heater, requirements are 15ltrs capacity, will need expansion vessel, PRV, safety discharge etc as its on a normal mixer tap and the expansion cannot be accommodated within the mains. Heatrae stuff is too pricey for this job, anyone fitted similar for a reasonable outlay ??

Ariston Europrisma 2Kw 10 litre?

Edit ... after reading the question properly!!

Ariston Europrimsa 2Kw 15 litre?

Just looked up internet prices and is from around £110. I paid £155 at a merchant (sniff!)

Expansion vessel extra and I think the PRV was too so if a Santon includes all these then it might be a better buy.

they need expansion vessels if the mains is high pressure or if it is within a certain distance of nearest cold draw off point, MIs should tell you if its needed.

so its dependant on Mi's and length of run to CW outlet etc

i suppose most will now suggest one, safety first, i did fit them 15 years ago without, but to the Mi's back then

Try Newlec mate.
They were cheap a few yrs ago.

I have seen some fitted without exp vessels but i think it depends on the pressure.
The old redring ones used to have three different ways of installing depending on the pressure.

i converted a building from indirect to direct, after that they complained of there 10L water heater PRV dripping, turns out it wasn't need when it was gravity fed(probably around 8-10m of head at least) but once i converted it to mains (3-4 bar at least) it caused problems

I seen it being done once, they put a coil of hep and put it under the sink...must be to do with the nearest outlet and instead of putting a vessle in.
