3 port switch lever

I've just replaced a Tower U/S 3 port switch with a Siemens 3PM3-V22 one. Now when I select CH HW or both the synco motor drives the lever all the way to the end where it stays even if I switch off the power. If I push the lever back to the manual position side it goes back to the other side as above when I apply power. Any ideas?

Dodgy valve or misplaced wiring perhaps.

Thanks Mountainman, Finally found valve was fitted wrong way round, A going to hot water and B to central heating! Now just have to get 2 of the 12 Rads working as 8mm pipes hot to/from Rad but Rads stone cold.
