The problem is Brad, and I see this a lot. When you can't find work in the plumbing business, as we are a saturated market, you speak to the colleges who then just sell you more plumbing courses.

MCS is a waste of money for the vast majority of people in my opinion.

I feel for you, as you're my age and willing to work for free. I couldn't afford to work for free.

I wish you the best, and if you were local I'd let you shadow me for a couple of months. However I'm in Kent and no use to you. Good luck.
