hello to forum. Advice appreciated.Hole in front panel for
handle spindle.Plastic cistern has enough give, to pull forward
the panel to see rusted nut and bolt on other end of spindle &
two inches of room between cistern lid and underside of
bath worktop. I cant see any screws that would release the
customer's nice worktop. Has someone really panelled the
wc in permanently? Do I saw through the worktop? Dean.

Unfortunately a lot of multi-trade types box in plumbing that should stay accessible. I've seen it loads of times, it's the most fun when they're also tiled in 🙂

dean what type of ball valve is it? can it be seperated top from bottom. just thinking to leave the bottom if seperatable and change the top.

evening gents, sorry no pix. Limescale all around this side entry valve.
Other opinions valued before I passed the point of no return and cross
threaded the customer's valve. Back tomorrow with Fein to cut out
worktop if becomes necessary. Thanks again, Dean.

It may be slotted in on brackets, can you see anything resembling this on underside of worktop
