Hi there,i've just moved to bristol and i'm looking into doing an ACS course.does anybody know of a good centre in the area? i'm not working at the moment.i have c&g plumbing cert. level 3 and nvq level 2.is this enough to do the ACS?any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

As far as i know thats more than enough to get on the ACS as its something that ive considered myself. Your biggest problem will be doing your gas portfolio of evidence. Basically you will need to spend about six months logging about 140 hours testing, purging etc on various appliances
and different brands. You need this before you can go through to get the ACS ticket. You should try and approach as many gas firms/engineers as possible and ask them to take you on (free of charge of course). Your best bet, i think, will be servicing engineers as opposed to breakdown guys, try the local council and offer to pay your own liability insurance, petrol etc and mention your background!!!
