again, i was suprised by my quick thinking mate. got a call to a leak in a swimming pool plant room, the school opened tommorow so they needed a quick fix.
i bought these self tapping bolts with a rubber washer, and planned to screw them directly into the heat ex with my 18v makita and bolt adaptor. when i got back to site i realised my drill had been leant to a colleague. rang adam who turned up with a 10mm chuck drill. my bolt adaptor didnt fit. tried doing it by hand with no joy, so left adam in plant room whilst i went rooting in the van for an invention.
came back unsuccessfull, and my adam stood there smiling, having fixed one of the 3 holes.
instead of sitting there on his hands yet again, he'd found a solution,
he'd put the bolt direct into chuch and screwed it in.
smug n smiling he was.
the frightening thing is twenty years ago i might of thought of that myself.
hope he isnt my boss one day.
