Advertising on line

Seems as though I am new to the forum, I thought it's best to start off with something that may benefit others in our trade.

Advertising has always been a pet hate of mine. Yes, I have my vans signed up however I am always looking for other methods to drum up business.

I was given a website where screwfix & Plumb Center advertise, within the site they have an installer page. I have been advertising on the site since January & i can saftley say that we have had a positive responce.

Anyway it beats the likes of yell.com etc & its no where near their prices.

I'm not sure if I can list the website name because I never read the terms & conditions. Just thought I would drop a line.

I went with plumbsitesipplies and they have so far sent me 9 jobs to chase up in 2 weeks. I have priced 4 and won my 1st on saturday.

It cost me £48.00 and thats was for putting my company details on their web site & the job leads. The normal cost is £60.00 because I am corgi registared I was given a 20% discount.

For what I have spent in the local rag and what I have had in return, the cost of this is a snip.
