Hi,

I have recently been to a customers property who has been having a problem with a leak from a flush pipe. The customer had removed the rubber cone himslef and thrwon that away and fetched a new one but the new one does not fit as the hole is larger than the pipe. I have been to the merchants and they are telling me they only do one size, is this correct or is there somewhere else I can get one? I have tried sealing it with silicone but this keeps failing. The toilet is an old style traditional toilet with a high level cistern and a metal flush pipe. The merchants I have spoken to all say this flush pipe will need changing but the customer wants to keep the original! I am guessing the standard flush pipe is 1" 1/2 whereas this one is 1" 1/4 roughly.

Thanks

I find if the toilet is that old with a high level cistern then the vast majority I have come across have an external flush cone.

Hi, its not thats its old its just the style, the customer says it has only been 2 years and its always had a problem but they couldn't get the plumber back.

can you fit a 1" 1/4 soil pipe connector, the ones you get from screw fix, rubber grommet.

had same problem with btw toilet, the company that make them do a different size to the ones you can buy. best to contact the company that made the toilet, they may even send it out for free.

has the pan got the old sytle entry for the flush pipe where it pokes out the back or is it flush for internal cone?
