air bubbles in hot water

Can anyone help me? ive got a gloworm combi boiler and recently the hot water is appearing a milky colour, i think its due to lots of tiny air bubbles in the water, it runs clear when the hot tap is first run and then changes as soon as the boiler starts to heat the water? is this anything to worry about? id appreciate any comments

This is not a problem and as you have correctly diagnosed is air bubbles in the water. The amount of air can be dependant on a number of things such as the time of year and also if the soil at the resevoir i.e chalky.

Hi. Minute amounts of air in water at mains pressure with expand on heating and expand again when at atmospheric pressure, resulting in the milky colour. You should find that if collected in a glass for a while the colour will disperse. Good Luck
